What we are, and what we are not

We are not the airport, not a ticketing authority and not a tour operator. We do not take your booking, hold your money or drive the car. Every tour listed here is sold by its operator through Viator, and your contract is with them.

How the commission works

Links to tours on this site carry a tracking code. If you book after following one, the platform pays us a share of its commission. The price you pay is the price on the platform either way — the commission comes out of the platform's margin, not out of your fare.

What operators cannot buy

Placement, order and inclusion. No operator has paid to appear here, to appear higher or to be described more warmly, and none has seen this site before publication. The three featured tours were chosen in the open: the highest-rated Golden Circle day with real review volume behind it, the shortest departure that starts in the arrivals hall, and the cheapest one here, which also carries the most reviews by a factor of ten.

Where the figures come from

Prices, ratings, review counts, durations and inclusions are read from each operator's own listing and relayed as published. They are a snapshot, taken on 28 August 2026, and they move without notice. Facts about Iceland itself — the airport, the daylight, the distances, the waterfalls — come from the airport's own pages, from the Icelandic Road Administration and Met Office, and from published reference sources, and they are listed with their origins in our own working notes.

What we get wrong, and how to tell us

Figures drift and pages go stale. If something here is out of date, write to hello@icelandlayovertours.com and it will be corrected. Nothing here is legal or travel advice, and your connection, your visa and your flight are yours to confirm.
