Privacy Policy
Short version: this site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and collects nothing about you unless you write to us.
What this site stores
Nothing. There is no account, no login, no basket and no tracking pixel. No first-party cookie is set on any page here, and nothing about your visit is written to a database we control.
The map, and why it does not load until you ask
The map is a picture with a button until you press it. Nothing is requested from Google and no cookie is set until you choose to load it. Press the button and Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under its own policy; leave it alone and it never fires.
Where a third party is involved
When you follow a booking link you leave this site for Viator, and from that moment their privacy policy applies rather than ours. The link carries a tracking code that tells them the visit came from here; it carries nothing about you.
The site is verified with Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools. Those tools report aggregate search data about the site — which queries showed a page, how often it was clicked — and never identify individual visitors to us.
Hosting and logs
The pages are served by our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs containing IP addresses and requested URLs for security and diagnostics. We do not process those logs, build profiles from them or share them.
If you email us
Your message and your address sit in our mailbox until the thread is finished, and are used only to answer you. We do not add you to a list, because there is no list. Ask us to delete a thread and we will.
Your rights, and how to use them
Iceland applies the GDPR through the EEA agreement, so you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. In practice the answer is almost always "an email thread, and nothing else". Write to hello@icelandlayovertours.com and we will reply within a month.
How the site is funded is set out on the affiliate disclosure.
